Herbal Teas are some of my favorite medicines. Not only do they taste delicious, but they are packed with so much dense nutrition to help fight any cold virus.
My daughter recently caught a nasty virus that came with an equally nasty cough. After I've given my batch of remedies, I whip up a nice big batch of tea.
Ingredients:
Pine Needles
Sage leaf
Yarrow Flowers
Yarrow leaves
Dried Orange Peels
Mullein leaves
Cinnamon Sticks
Lemon Balm Sugar (I have a great blog post recipe on herbal sugars coming soon!)
The tea infusions are simple. Just stuff your jar with all your herbs. I've never been a super calculated measurer when it comes to teas. I usually fill my jar about half way with whatever I'm using.
Pour boiling water over and let steep for at least 30 min.
Once you've let your tea steep, you can strain everything out, add some lemon balm sugar and/or honey and enjoy!
Let me know how your tea came out and if you added anything extra to yours!!
